About this app
You know your mother collects books about gardens. You know your brother already has the espresso grinder. You know it — right up until the day you need it. Gestari remembers for you. WHAT THE APP DOES People, not lists Add the people you buy gifts for: relationship, interests, budget. Every hint you pick up along the way can go straight in — Gestari does not forget it. Occasions that are actually right Mother's Day is the first Sunday of May in Spain, the last in France, three weeks before Easter in the UK. German Father's Day follows Ascension Day and moves every year. Gestari works this out from the country of the person, not from yours. Reminders before it gets tight A little over three weeks before, Gestari asks whether the person has mentioned anything — and what you don't know about them yet. Three weeks, one week and two days before, it reminds you, and the reminder takes you straight to the person and the ideas you saved. The day after, it asks what you gave, and a few weeks later whether it gets used. That is how the next ideas get better. Better ideas A few short questions per person: things or experiences, which style, what tends to miss the mark. All optional — but the more Gestari knows, the less the suggestions are guesswork. Birthdays without typing If you like, Gestari picks up birthdays from your calendar. That happens on your iPhone only. Ideas built on what you know When you ask for them, Gestari suggests three gifts, each with one sentence on why it fits. Anything you already gave never comes back. Anything someone already owns or dislikes, according to your feedback, does not either. That is exactly what a chatbot cannot do when it meets you fresh every year. Honest at the moment of buying Suggestions are marked as ideas. Gestari invents no prices and no availability — it opens a search on Amazon and leaves the rest to you. WHAT THE APP DOES NOT DO No account, no sign-up, no password. People, interests, notes and history live on your iPhone and are not synced to any server. No tracking, no ads, no third-party analytics – only anonymous daily counters without an identifier, which you can turn off in Settings. The app is free and needs no account. For AI suggestions, interests, hints, budget and occasion go to an AI service — the person's name does not. Names, e-mail addresses and phone numbers are removed from your notes first, and a no-go is sent only as the rule, never with the reason behind it. The app asks first and you can decline: it then keeps working without AI. Under the provider's contract terms, no models are trained on this data. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. The order of suggestions does not depend on that — it follows what suits the person and fits the budget.
