What's new
Version 1.2.0 · Nov 4, 2026
HDR, the way the film carries it • Turn on Enable HDR in a photo's ··· menu: highlights rise past white as the film and paper would hold them, with the grain intact. See it on the canvas, and export JPEG or HEIF with an HDR gain map that Photos shows in HDR. • The histogram now shows the HDR range. On iPhone, the curve marks where SDR white falls. • Enable HDR by Default in Settings. The Light Table shows and exports the same HDR. • HDR needs iOS 18 and a screen that can show it. More for free • Film Edge, HEIF, every colour space and bit depth, and the Light Table are now free. Export • Quality is now a slider, with an estimate of the file size beneath it. • Choose the bit depth: HEIF 8 or 10-bit, TIFF 8 or 16-bit. Library and films • Sort Photos by Date Added or Date Captured. • Long-press a film card to favourite it, read its story, or rename it. With Plus, change the name printed on its film edge. Half-frame pairs • Edit each frame on its own, or the whole pair. • Format is laid out like Effects. Plus fixes and refinements throughout.
