TermForge

TermForge is a terminal for iPhone and iPad that runs real developer tools on the device itself. There is no remote server or SSH host to set up. A LINUX SHELL IN YOUR POCKET • An Alpine Linux environment runs inside the app, with bash, coreutils, git, Python 3, ripgrep, an SSH client and the apk package manager. • Your files live in the TermForge folder in the Files app and at /mnt/termforge inside Linux, so you can edit in any app and build in the shell. AI CODING AGENTS • Install Anthropic's Claude Code command-line tool from inside the app and run it in a terminal tab. It signs in with your own Anthropic account. • The Agent tab is a built-in AI coding chat that reads and edits your files and runs commands in the Linux shell, using your own Anthropic API key. • The PC tab shows a terminal session from your own computer, through a small companion bridge you run there. A REAL TERMINAL • Several tabs, each with its own session. • xterm-compatible emulation with colour and Unicode. • An extra-keys row above the keyboard with Esc, Ctrl, Alt, Tab and arrow keys. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account, no analytics and no tracking. The developer never sees your files, keys or prompts, and API keys are kept in the iOS Keychain.
