About this app
Koom-pare: compare, plus คุ้มป้ะ (“koom pa?”), Thai for “is it worth it?” That’s the whole app. Koompare weighs every price in what it really costs you. PRICE BATTLE Two bottles, two sizes, two prices. Koompare works out the cheapest per unit while you type: litres against millilitres, grams against kilograms, multipacks too. Point the camera at a shelf tag and it reads the price and size for you. WORTH IT? Type a price and see it in hours of your working life, or in days of pocket money if you're a student. Then get a dry, honest second opinion. "Thirty minutes of nodding in a meeting. A fair trade for foam." A WISHLIST THAT COOLS OFF See something you want? Snap it. The background comes off and it becomes a sticker in its own colours. Then it freezes for a day, two, or a week. When it thaws, Koompare asks if you still want it. Usually you don't. DECIDE FROM YOUR HOME SCREEN The widget shows your oldest wish, frosted over while it cools off. When it thaws, answer right there: Nah, or Still want it. WATCH WHAT YOU DIDN'T SPEND Every "nah" and every cheaper pick adds up, with a chart and the things you skipped. MADE FOR HOW MONEY REALLY ARRIVES Monthly salary, pocket money, an hourly wage or freelance income. For Thai salaries, Koompare estimates take-home pay after Social Security and income tax, and counts down to payday. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Your income is kept in your iPhone's Keychain behind Face ID. Prices, photos and income never leave your device. No account, no tracking. Also: • Thai and English • OpenDyslexic font option • Works great on iPhone Duo: two panes when open, and a freezer door when it's half-folded on a table • Siri and Shortcuts: "How long to afford something in Koompare"
