About this app
Built for play. Made for Muslim families. Mohallah is a home for thoughtful children's games. It contains seven complete games: Patang, Tides of Kilwa, Katak Sawah, Threads of Tabriz, Nova Rush, Rickshaw Rush, and Thirsty Gardens. What parents should know first: - Seven finished games. No hidden catalogue, no extra downloads. - Getting started is one tap: choose the player's age range and play. - Plays entirely offline. The app makes no internet connections and nothing leaves your iPad. - No account, no sign-up, and no ads. Ever. - The app never asks for a legal name, birth date, gender, or email address. - Parent settings sit behind a grown-up check, or behind a six-digit Parent PIN if you choose to add one (the PIN needs a passcode set on the iPad). - Up to six child profiles, so siblings each keep their own progress. The games: Patang. Patang is the Urdu word for kite. Fly one high above the rooftops of a warm, painted Lahore. Hold to lift your kite, let go to drift, and thread it through drifting pigeons and house crows. The kite is never torn, cut, or destroyed, and there is no kite fighting. Tides of Kilwa. A fictional fishing cove inspired by Kilwa and the southern Swahili Coast around 1320 to 1350. Hold to lower the hook, slide a finger to lean against the current, and let go to reel in. The bigger catches wait in deeper, faster water. Katak Sawah. A rice-field frog in a fictionalised Central Java, in the time of the Mataram Sultanate. Tap anywhere and it leaps in the same dependable arc, catching an insect mid-jump. The whole game is choosing the right moment. Threads of Tabriz. A Persian carpet grows on a loom in a fictionalised workshop in Safavid Tabriz, around 1510 to 1540. Swipe to weave; a small cut is safe, a big cut claims more cloth. The carpets are the game's own, not copies of historic pieces. Nova Rush. Steer a small ship through a calm field of comets and collect light sparks before the run ends. Comets are space weather, not enemies, and the ship never shoots. Rickshaw Rush. Drive a rickshaw through the streets of 1990s Karachi and deliver your load to Empress Market. No laps, no countdown, no weapons and no combat. Thirsty Gardens. A family courtyard garden in a fictionalised Shiraz, around 1765. Draw channels from the stone basin to the thirsty plants: a plant's size shows how much water it needs, and the basin holds only so much. Bring sixteen gardens back to bloom. There is no timer, and any wrong turn is one tap to undo. In every game the only score chased is the child's own best, and progress is saved for every child. Mohallah is created by Mangla & Co LLC, an independent studio in Virginia.
What's new
Version 1.2 · Oct 20, 2026
Three new games join Mohallah: Nova Rush, a run through a field of comets, Rickshaw Rush, a rickshaw drive through 1990s Karachi to Empress Market, and Thirsty Gardens, sixteen quiet garden puzzles. Getting started is now one tap: choose the player's age range and play. A Parent PIN is now optional. Until you add one, Parent settings open after a grown-up check. Families who already have a PIN keep it. Mohallah has a simpler, cleaner look, with a menu for switching between children. Adding a child is easier, achievements your child earns are now saved properly, and game sounds come back properly after switching apps. No ads, no account, and everything stays on your iPad.
