About this app

PacketCircle turns packet captures into a clear picture of who is talking to whom. Instead of scrolling endless packet lists, you see communication pairs as an interactive circle: endpoints on the rim, conversations as edges, colors by protocol or session quality. Ideal when you need to understand a capture quickly — on site, in a meeting, or reviewing a file someone sent you. What you can do • Open PCAP and PCAPNG captures • Explore Top talkers on a circle, table, or gauges view • Filter by protocol and focus on the conversations that matter • Inspect session health, ports/services, and application hints • Jump into a Wireshark-style decode (packet list, protocol tree, hex) • Follow TCP streams and export a conversation as PCAP Built for analysis, not noise PacketCircle is a native iOS app with a shared engine designed for conversation-centric troubleshooting — DNS, HTTP, TLS, SMB, and more when the payload is visible — without requiring Wireshark on your phone. Open a capture. See the circle. Understand the network. Made with love for the packet community.

What's new

Version 1.3.8 · Nov 4, 2026

Networks, slow-server detection and a roomier Circle. • NEW: Networks layout. The Circle can group hosts by network: private networks on the left, the internet on the right, each network a coloured arc whose colour is the worst conversation quality in it. Tap an arc to open the network, double-tap to fold it. Name your own networks under Options → Circle → Known networks. • NEW: Slow server or slow network? Expert findings now split a TCP conversation's wait into the handshake round trip and the server's think time, and tell you which one dominates. • NEW: type "expert" in the Circle search to list the worst findings of the capture first. • NEW: Appearance. Choose Dark, Light or follow the device (Options). • The protocol legend folds to one row when a capture has many protocols. The Circle keeps its room while you search, and the keyboard closes when you touch the Circle. • Fewer host labels on the Networks ring; the arcs carry the names. • Compare, Decode, the PDF report and the Circle layouts now run on the same Rust engine as the Mac, Linux and Windows apps. • Fixes and polish throughout.
