About this app
Section Time is a simple, focused timing and record-keeping tool for anaesthetists and theatre teams working in obstetric settings. It replaces scribbled notes and mental arithmetic with one clear screen for logging the times that matter during a case, so you can concentrate on the case itself, then transcribe accurate times onto the official record afterwards. KEY EVENT TIMES Record the moment each key step happens with a single tap: • Time Bleeped • Patient in Theatre • Block In / GA (with Spinal, Epidural Top-Up or GA selection) • Block Ready • Knife to Skin • Delivery (with support for multiple births) Section Time automatically works out useful elapsed times as you go, including time since bleep, time since block/GA, and the decision-to-delivery interval, so there's no mental maths required. IMPORTANT Section Time is a record-keeping aid only. It does not provide clinical advice, alerts or reminders, and must not be used or relied upon to make clinical decisions. All recorded times should be independently verified and transcribed onto your institution's official medical record. Please read the full in-app disclaimer (Menu > Disclaimer/About) before use.
What's new
Version 2 · Sep 15, 2026
This new version focuses on reliability and clarity. All time-based alerts (including the CAT1 toggle and spinal/epidural reminders) have been removed — the app is now purely a simple, passive timing and record-keeping tool. You can also reset a case straight from the main screen, drug and fluid entries display more clearly when given multiple times, the layout now adapts better across different iPhone sizes.
