About this app

Thomson Cloud turns your phone or tablet into a display for vision assessments. Your clinician gives you a QR code. Scan it, and the app connects to the Thomson Cloud server, which checks your screen size and shows test images calibrated to your device. Your clinician then controls the test remotely and changes the images as the assessment goes on. • Scan a QR code to connect, with no account or login needed • Reconnect to your last session with one tap • Full-screen, calibrated test images • Touch the screen to respond during tests that need it, such as an Amsler grid Camera access is used only to scan the QR code. No photos or video are taken or stored.

Version 3.0.0 Thomson Cloud has been rebuilt from the ground up using React Native. What's new • A modern, refreshed design with a new app icon and launch screen • Connect to last device: reconnect to your previous session with one tap, without scanning again • Improved QR scanning: a clearer viewfinder, and a helpful message if you scan the wrong code • Touch response: tap the screen during tests that need it, such as an Amsler grid • Full-screen test images, with protection against closing the test by accident • Clear messages if the connection drops, with a one-tap "Try again" • Easier camera setup, including a shortcut to Settings if access is turned off Nothing changes in how your vision assessment works. The app connects to the same Thomson cloud server, your existing QR codes keep working, and your clinician runs the test just as before.
