About this app
Moved away from home? Living on your own? Touchbase is the simplest way to let someone know you're OK, without sharing where you are. HOW IT WORKS Choose a daily check-in time. Add someone you trust: a parent, friend or neighbour. Tap once a day. That's it. Your contact doesn't need the app. They just get a text. If you miss your check-in, Touchbase sends you a reminder every hour. If you still haven't tapped after three hours, it texts your contact so they know to get in touch. One check-in per day. Change the time whenever you like. WHAT IT DOESN'T DO No location sharing. No map. No one checking where you are or who you're with. Your contact only hears from Touchbase if you miss a check-in. WHO IT'S FOR Students who want to stop the "are you alive?" messages from home. People who live alone. Lone workers. Anyone who wants a quiet safety net without being tracked. Free, with no subscription.

Version 1.0.9 · Nov 6, 2026
A clearer start to TouchBase. • Setting up is now in a better order: your daily check-in time first, then reminders, then who to contact. • A new step explains why reminders matter and lets you turn them on in one tap. • The contact step now shows the text your contact would receive, and when, so you know exactly what you're agreeing to. • You can check in as soon as you've set a time, even before you've added a contact. The app tells you plainly when no one would be told if you missed one. • Fixes an issue where a check-in made just after setting up wasn't always counted.
