About this app
Focus app doesn't have to feel cold or boring. When you enter focus mode, a cat appears on the chair keeping you company. With a hand-drawn style and rich colors, Cat On Chair brings you a cozy, aesthetic pomodoro focus experience. The cat isn't only there to "supervise"; they're sharing the moment with you. Stay motivated with gifts and rewards. Complete a session, and your cat will bring you a gift. Fail, and you may be left with a little trash. Gifts can be traded for fish, which unlock furniture and decorations for your cat's room. Seasonal updates bring new gifts, decor, and even more cats to collect. Attention: May cause increased productivity, spontaneous cat adoption urges, and the inexplicable need to explain your work schedule to a digital pet. What's new
Version 1.10.2 · Nov 3, 2026
New: Room Panel: On iPad, Mac, and an open iPhone Duo, Todo, Timeline, Stats, Rewards, and Settings now open in a panel beside your room. Adding or editing opens over the room, and a tap on the room closes the panel. Goal Rewards: A new reward popup now celebrates the item you earn from your Monthly Goal or Cat Goal. If you earn a goal outside a focus session, the popup shows when you return to the app, instead of waiting for your next focus or shop visit. Pick Your Goal: Tap an empty goal card to open the shop, ready to choose your goal item. Long Focus Gifts: Every focus of 2 hours or more now brings a 3 or 4 star gift. Sound on Open: Pro members can play their Ambient Sounds each time they open the app. Turn it on in Settings. Auto Start Break: In Count Up, turn on Auto start break, and your break starts by itself after you focus for at least 5 minutes. Stats: The Week chart now shows each day’s total, and the change now compares with the same point in the last day, week, month, or year. Shop: Items look bigger in the shop, and their descriptions no longer hide behind the buttons. Fixes: The app now asks before spending fish on the item you set as your goal. Timeline and Stats no longer show an empty history when your focus sessions are saved. Your Monthly Goal and Cat Goal now show right away when you open the app, instead of showing 0 until loading finishes. Tapping Pause now pauses right away again, for the Max Pause Duration you set in Settings. A count up timer now keeps running after the app closes, even overnight. Stopping one after 8 hours or more asks if you were still focusing. The app opens faster and no longer freezes for a moment right after launch. Fixed lag while iCloud sync uploads a large history for the first time. Turning iCloud sync back on with Use Local no longer makes the app lag. Fish from rewards and sales is now saved in one step, so it’s never lost or counted twice. Automatic Export Folder backups now continue when one backup fails, and Settings shows the last export date or why it failed. Widgets with a Transparent background now follow your iPhone’s Light or Dark appearance, so their text stays readable. With Bluetooth headphones and Voice interaction with your cat on, Ambient Sounds now stay clear instead of sounding muffled. With two cats, opening the shop no longer slides a cat down while the room moves up. On the day clocks change for daylight saving time, Sleep schedule and Scheduled Lock now show the times you set, and a time you change no longer jumps back. In Timeline, a Sleep that runs past midnight now continues on the next day instead of stopping at midnight.
