About this app
GitGym is a practice app for learning Git and GitHub commands by running them inside the app. The goal is not to memorize commands, but to decide which one to use in each situation. ■ Learn by running commands, stage by stage Type commands until the repository reaches the goal. Follow a real-world flow through branches, merges, conflict resolution, pull requests, reviews, CI, rebase, and cherry-pick. ■ A commit graph that moves Each command redraws your local repository and GitHub in a single graph, so you can see exactly what happened. ■ Look up by situation Find the command from what you want to do, such as "undo my last commit" or "I pushed by mistake". The command list shows usage and cautions. ■ Easy to use on a phone Build commands by tapping suggestion buttons. Switch to the keyboard when you are ready. ■ Quizzes and a sandbox Check what you learned with quizzes, or try things freely in the sandbox. ■ Safe to experiment It never touches a real repository. Nothing can break, and you can retry as many times as you like. Your progress stays on your device, and no account is needed. ■ Free to use Every feature is free. A banner ad is shown on the list screens, and a full-screen ad (which may include video) sometimes appears after you clear a stage. Available in English and Japanese.
What's new
Version 1.0.1 · Nov 3, 2026
- The "Languages" entry on the App Store page now correctly shows that GitGym supports both Japanese and English. - New: after you clear a number of stages, the app may ask if you'd like to leave a rating or review. It appears only once and is easy to dismiss. Thank you for using GitGym!
